Visual Merchandising
WHY Visual Merchandising
Visual Merchandising is the art of displaying merchandise in a manner that is appealing to the eyes of the customer. Its almost like being an Interior designer but for retail stores. There is so much to take into consideration but is such an important factor of the success of a business.
It sets the context of the merchandise in an aesthetically pleasing fashion, presenting them in a way that would convert the window shoppers into prospects and ultimately buyers of the product. It is the silent salesperson in itself.
From window displays, signs, interior displays, sales promotions, product placement, is what makes a customers in store experience unforgettable.
Being a visual merchandiser to me means constant change, constant creativity and constantly keeping up with todays trends of fashion/design trends and also making designs your own.
WHY I started this blog
I love the feeling of walking past a store with amazing eye catching window displays that just scream creativity. It intrigues me when I walk through a store, restaurant or cafe that just feels like some one cares and understands the essence of a visually intriguing merchandising - On Point.
Over the past years I have collected some snaps of the places of which I visited or just seen a picture of that makes me want to go there. These are not only based in New Zealand but from all over the world.
